Worldview Centre at Maleny - Integral Links and Resources

The Worldview Centre is informed and guided by the principles of the Integral model as described by American philosopher Ken Wilber. The Integral model is a map of the human condition, offering broad outlines of what is possible in the journey of life. It takes into account psychology, spirituality, culture, biology, relationship dynamics and a host of other variables to create a vast tapestry of meaning that is enormously useful in making sense of what is happening in your inner world and in the world around you.

Aside from Wilber's clear intellectual genius (he will read 400 books as research for one of his 20+ volumes), he has also maintained a meditation practice for the last 35 years, and received instruction from spiritual masters of virtually all the traditions. As such, the Integral Model is utterly respectful of the great mysteries of Spirit, and is repeatedly clear on the limitations of the reasoning mind. In other words, the integral model is not the rantings of some over-active brain disembodied from the felt experience of life. It is heartfelt, compassionate and even humorous, while at the same time offering the most comprehensive and useful guide to living that you can hope to find at this point in history.

	Integral World- more integral perspectives than you can poke at a stick at (almost 500 essays available for download) ~ also the global home of integral enthusiasts who love to spend their time trying to pick holes in Wilber's model. 	Formless Mountain- Another profoundly gorgeous site, with a flash page that describes the 4 quadrants in easy-to-swallow language. Much of the site is still under construction (as it has been for a while) but what is there is well worth a look.
	Integrative Spirituality- Yet another treasure trove of integral material, this time with a focus on spirituality. From the home page: "Integrative Spirituality is an open integral spirituality community. It collects, synthesizes and then uses the most useful, effective, and life-affirming spiritual wisdom and practices found within all of humanity’s great spiritual denominations."

	EnlightenNext - Exceptionally cool glossy magazine initiated by self-proclaimed guru Andrew Cohen, with frequent Wilber interviews and always an abundance of profound wisdom of an integral nature. Printed out of the US but well worth the subscription.
	Worldview Centre- a small-scale retreat centre at the tail-end of the planet that lives by the motto "you don't have to be big to make a difference." Our goal is to be a kosmic mosquito, spreading with reckless abandon the memetic "virus" of the integral worldview, with the ultimate goal of reducing suffering so that we might ALL one day have a good old-fashioned belly laugh at the kosmic joke and join the party that celebrates the incredible miracle of existence.
