Integral Practitioners Gathering

This gathering is for those who are already using integral principles in their career or social work. This gathering will be scheduled when sufficient interest is received. If you are interested, please click here to email us.

One of the recurring themes in the integral community is the yearning for connection with those who embody and practice an integral worldview. This is not for the sake of ego gratification or some form of elitism, but rather is an unavoidable consequence of having spent more years than most dedicated to the inner journey of evolving your own consciousness. In Buddhism, they call it Sangha, which is a term that denotes the community of Buddhist practitioners. This is a gathering for the Integral Sangha.

The Integral Practitioners Gathering might be better described as an Integral Expedition (using an AQAL map) for modern day explorers who want to travel to the edges of the known worlds. Along the way we will search for new perspectives and activities that are effective in explaining and/or experientially demonstrating the benefits of the AQAL model, and in doing so, empower ourselves and our clients to live and work in a more empowered and effective way.

The proposition is that there exists ways of demonstrating integral principles that to others (who have never heard of it before) in a way that is thoroughly compelling and immediately useful in everyday life. One outcome of the gathering may be a shared collection of discreet Integral Experiential Exercises that act as lenses to reveal one aspect of the AQAL model in all of its radiant brilliance.

This type of collective sharing is fairly new to the Integral world, partly because the full extent of the AQAL model is still emerging into our collective awareness. But it would seem without doubt that there are dozens if not hundreds of perspectival lenses waiting to be discovered and harvested (many of them already used, no doubt, in other integral communities). The value of these perspectives is that each one makes some part of the AQAL model clear and experientially true to anyone with a curious mind.

The detailed agenda will be set at the beginning of the gathering using Open Space Technology (click here for info). Open Space will enable everyone who shows up to have a say in the objectives and process of the gathering. It also creates the opportunity for you to present your particular integral passion to your fellow participants.

You may be eligible to attend this gathering even if you have never heard of Ken Wilber or the Integral Approach. There are tens of thousands of people in our region who have evolved themselves to an integral worldview through other means. You will know if you are integral by nature because much of the content and perspectives put forward on this website will resonate for you as famailiar (even if some of the language may be new).

If you do feel yourself integral by nature but unfamiliar with the language, we recommend that you attend at least one of the Worldview Encounter workshops before signing up for the Integral Practitioners Gathering.

If you wish to attend, please e-mail us with a brief introduction and your intention for wanting to attend.
