Russell Hibbs
The band continued in its changing forms until Russell and Daevid headed for the U.K and Europe in 1994. The 'totally bananas tour’ included members of 'Kangaroo Moon' and the U.K Invisible opera. A return trip to Wales and a winter in Glastonbury deepened Russell's interest in the Celtic shamanic tradition, he subsequently spent the next year in a remote Tasmanian cottage writing and weaving together the threads of world wisdom paths, creating journey through story, sound and song. Known over the past few years as 'the Bard of Byron Bay' Russell performs locally and internationally, with a concert tour in 2008 of Sweden and Norway. The recently formed 'Tzolkin' includes Japanese guitarist Mitsuo Hanafusa with other guest friends and musicians continuing to bring a multicultural diversity and flavour to this contemporary sound. An evening with 'Tzolkin' is like stepping into the ancient, future now, a tapestry of rich lyric and melody, drones and harmonic overtones of voice and the Indian 'shruti' box, toe tapping foot stomping sing-along’s, rib tickling giggles and maybe a tear or two. Treat yourself to an evening with Tzolkin.....

was born in Fukuoka, Japan and brought up by a traditional Japanese family. He
was influenced by western modern music through the hippie movement in 1960’s
and he played the guitar in Japanese bands in the 70’s in Fukuoka. Since then, he has lived in Kyoto, London, Bangkok, India and Spain before coming to Australia in 1998. He teamed with Russell in Feb 2009.  Andy Copeman is a
musician, sound healer, sound and video artist and recording engineer and
producer with a career stretching back to the late 1970’s. His journey through
the diverse music of this world was helped along by several years as a
broadcaster working with ABC Radio National’s The Planet. His spiritual journey over many years has led him to explore meditation, shamanism, devotional and spiritual music from many traditions. His passion is the use of music, sound and images to bring healing, enjoyment, peace and passion to all involved. Andy and his partner Laurel are realising their dream of a centre of excellence in Love, Light, Music and Healing with their exciting venture Awakening Centre in North Maleny
